I downsized in 2015 and moved into a new construction home in October of that year. From the very start we had issues with our Lennox 'Contractor Grade' HVAC system. In the span of 7 short years my system suffered 3 major failures leaving us stuck and without AC at the worse possible times! My most recent failure was this March when my compressor seized up and started tripping the main breaker! My warranty was up, I had never been satisfied with repairs or the contractors who came to our home...enough was enough...I wanted to get some information on installing a new system. My neighbor had a son who had started and was running an HVAC company by the name of ARGO HVAC. A lot of my neighbors were using ARGO HVAC for maintenance and upkeep and bragged constantly as to how good these guys were...I decided to give ARGO HVAC a call. The company is owned and run by a young gentleman by the name of Bob Loughridge. Bob and I spoke on the phone and he made an appointment for Monday...keep in mind this was Friday. Bob came out on Monday as promised...right on time. He's very much like his parents and we immediately connected. He did his inspection...he asked the right questions and provided me with the right answers. I was feeling pretty confident that I could speak 'HVAC' with the best of them. We sat down and he provided me with 3 options...good, better and best. Keep in mind that a new HVAC system is expensive...but the gap from 'good' to 'best' is not that significant! He provided the numbers, we did some back and forth and we ended up shaking hands on a Carrier Infinity System. This is a top of the line HVAC system with a 10 year warranty...reviews are awesome and it makes my old Lennox single stage system look pitiful! Bob left and promised to get back to me after he checked availability of all of the major systems. I wanted new linesets, new control wires, new pan, new everything! The big day arrived and ARGO HVAC showed up right on time! 4 technicians and Bob in 3 trucks! Everyone was introduced and everyone went right to work! It was an all day job! I was looking over everyone's shoulders, asking questions and taking a lot of pictures! Everyone was pleasant, professional and knew their job! It was an amazing chorus of a well oiled machine and a pleasure to watch! When the dust settled and the mess was cleaned up...I was given a tutorial of my new system. I had a pile of paperwork, booklets, manuals and a lot of learning to do! It's now two weeks after the installation...this system blows me away! I can't even tell it's on! I've had the opportunity to use the heat (gas) and use the air! This is a multi stage unit that operates from 25% to 100%. I can select humidity levels and any schedule I want. I installed a whole house electrostatic air filter with the installation. I am anticipating less dust and pet dander, as well as lower electric and gas bills.I cannot begin to tell you how pleased we are with Bob and his Team at ARGO HVAC! He is the contractor you hope answers the phone and shows up at your home! This system has put my mind at ease and provides us with a huge comfort factor we had not had before! I have signed up with ARGO for their maintenance after my year of visits for the new install come to an end and they will continue to be my 'Go To HVAC people!'I apologize for this exceptionally long post, but the background information is important for a full understanding of how all of this came to be. Bottom line...replacing an entire HVAC system at 7 years is complete and utter BS, but it is what it is! After 3 major failures I was DONE! I can do without a lot of things in this home...but a working, dependable HVAC certainly ain't one of them, and now...thanks to Bob and the Team at ARGO HVAC, that's no longer a concern!Steve and Kathy
